Who We Are
St. Mary's Forane Church, Kadaplamattom, is an ancient Syro-Malabar Catholic parish established in 1009 A.D. in Kerala.Founded by early Saint Thomas Christian families, it has stood for over a millennium as a central pillar of faith.Today, it functions as a prominent administrative hub under the Eparchy of Palai, overseeing several local subordinate parishes.
Dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the parish serves as a vibrant spiritual sanctuary for the local community.Its active ward units and historic annual feasts continue to preserve centuries of rich Syrian Christian cultural heritage.

The Foundation
The initial parish community is established. Saint Thomas Christian families migrating into the Kadaplamattom region construct a modest place of worship to establish their community foothold.
Building the Sanctuary
As the parish grows significantly over the centuries, the community initiates reconstruction efforts to transition from an ancient structure into a permanent, spacious masonry sanctuary.
Golden Jubilee
Following the formal creation and delineation of the Eparchy of Palai in 1950, the parish celebrates its golden era of modern administrative growth and spiritual integration within the new diocese.
Embracing the Future
The parish observes its historic millennium jubilee milestone (1000 years of existence). The landmark event initiates modern digital record-keeping, extensive parish infrastructure updates, and a major expansion of local community welfare programs.
